Python bindings for Gammu library. It currently does not support all Gammu features, but range of covered functions is increasing, if you need some specific, feel free to use bug tracking system for feature requests.

Requirements

As of 1.22.91, python-gammu is part of of Gammu tarball!

You need Python 2.3 or newer.

Installation

First check whether you distribution doesn't already contain packages for Wammu. Many of them do so (eg. Arch, Debian, Gentoo, Mandriva, SUSE, …). If not, you can install from sources, just download tarball and follow INSTALL file instructions.

python-gammu is now included in Debian. However if you want more recent (or testing) packages, you can check my personal APT repository.
