Tricks for Alcatel 501
Most of things here also apply to other Alcatel phones (eg. 715/535/735).
Predefined messages

Quick access to contacts on SIM
Press number of contact and # in standby to show that contact.Quick dialing of numbers from SIM
For first 9 contact on SIM you can dial just by pressing number and sending it.Language change
To change language dial *#code#. Code is international phone prefix with prepended 0 to have length 4. Examples are in following table. These codes can be stored in contacts and can be used in keypad settings.| *#0000# | Automatic |

Phone reset
###337*07# - keeps phone settings, just resets it###847# - return to factory settings, this deletes everything in mobile, including contacts and calendar

###765*08# - Unlock
###765*78# - Deactivate (after deactivation this category disappears from all menus)
Dial numbers from SMS
When you get SMS with phone number, you can dial it using dial button. If there are more numbers you will be asked which you want to dial.
